While our primary goal is to reach souls for Christ, one cannot preach about a God of love without ministering to the physical needs of the people. With this in mind we work not only through our schools, and through the building of churches, but also through the establishment of orpanages for the orphaned children, where possibly for the first time in their lives they will hear that there is someone who loves them.

Acts India Ministries seeks to minister to the needs of the elderly through a home for the aged, and we have a branch of this ministry that specifically reaches out to the lepers in an attempt to reach them with the gospel. In India, leprosy poses a difficult health issue due to the cast sytem practiced which segregates those infected with leprosy to the lowest possible class and denies them even the most basic of human rights. "Lepers have souls" says the Reverend Penneel, "and they too need Christ".
